S2B - Connecting Local Talent and Business

Join us at the Student-2-Business Networking Conference on January 26th and connect with your peers and hundreds of college and university students as they discover the array of opportunities available in London.   S2B is not a job fair, but an opportunity to connect with the best and brightest from our city’s educational institutions in an open forum. Inform students what types of positions exist and what you look for when recruiting.  This is a great opportunity for London to come together to make connections for a dynamic future.

Business support is critical to the success of this event and will enhance London’s ability to keep these valuable future workers. It costs $25 to attend which includes parking at the London Convention Centre, coat check, food and refreshments, the keynote address and networking session.

Labour Market Information Project Taking Shape

Labour market information is of vast importance to the business community.  It informs an array of critical decisions, reflects conditions and trends, career employment demand, and influences education and training.  The accessibility and accuracy of the information is paramount because it influences decisions having a large impact on the future of the local community.  These evidence-based decisions allow the targeting of public monies to the areas of greatest need. Funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU), the London Economic Development Corporation is coordinating The Local Labour Market Information Project to meet this demand for a system of providing more accurate local labour market information and provide a prototype for other communities in the province.
